Project for Module 8
Creating and Modifying Visual Elements Part I
In this assignment, you will apply all that you have learned about the core design tools in Photoshop. You will need to use Photoshop to perform these tasks. Take screenshots after completing each step and save them as image files or add them to a Word/PPT document.
- Open a Photoshop document and draw a simple shape of your choosing using the Pen tool. You can use a guide layout to help you. Once you are done, convert it to a Shape and fill it with a color. (Take a screenshot once the task is complete.)
- Draw a shape using each of the Shape tools in Photoshop. Each shape should be on a different layer and have a different fill, stroke, and dimensions. (Take a screenshot once the task is complete.)
- Open an image in Photoshop, and add some text to go with it. This can be any sample text on the image. Use at least 2 methods of adding text, Point type, paragraph type, or type on a path. (Take a screenshot once the task is complete.)
- Using the same document you used for the above task, modify the character settings of the text you added. Increase the leading and tracking values, and add a baseline shift to one keyword. (Take a screenshot once the task is complete.)
- Using the same document you used for the above two tasks, adjust the indent and justification values for a paragraph. (Take a screenshot once the task is complete.)
