check yourself... answer to 5/27's Photo
most of you did good yesterday with the sisters.
1. What is the subject? (2 girls) which art element does it convey? (shape/form- humans)
2. How is it lit? (it was slight dimly lit for being inside from side windows) what type of light do you see? (due to even-toned with shadow cast to show the direction of light- it was soft light).
3. Where is the subject placed in the picture? (the sisters was laying down opposite of each other balancing each other out). what composition do you see? balancing elements.
4. How would you set the camera up for a similar shot? (Iso 400 - low because we want details, not pixalated, aperture and background are the same focus- f/8 with medium opening; slow shutter speed, longer time at 1/100 sec because it will allow more lights in due to be indoor lighting; and lastly, focal length was zoomed in at 45mm).
5. What is the message you get from looking at the picture? (sisterhood, or just similar yet different, note the open vs. closed eyes - but mostly just calm and serenity or relaxed in another word - chill).
